UK Qualified Implant Team
Be assured that, during your implant treatment, you will be closely looked after by our implant team
Our aim is to provide the very best in patient care, and we strive to achieve clinical excellence during each and every procedure. With the Slade Implant team, you can be assured that you will be in safe hands.
You will receive the optimum standard of dental implant treatment at all times. With our extensive continual postgraduate training, patients can be assured of the latest techniques being used and predictable long term results at a very high standard.
Only a few clinics in the UK have the same standard of technologically advanced equipment at their disposal.
Referring dentist involvement scheme
At The Slade Dental Practice, we have pioneered a dental implant involvement scheme.
We have found that this co-operation between both the referring dentist and ourselves, benefits the patient through the continuation of care, and allows the referring dentists to be fully involved in their patient’s care.
Special Interest Services
Our expert services are available to all General Dental Practitioners who wish to refer patients for treatment which your dentist may not normally undertake.
Reassuringly, we will provide the required treatment, following only the referring practitioner’s instructions, and will then refer you back for your further care.
Dr RASH PATEL: Resident Implantologist.
Dr Rash Patel is one of few dentists in the UK to have a Diploma in Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons UK. He is a member of the international Congress of Oral Implantologists. He is a fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and a member of The Association of Dental Implantology (UK)
At the Slade Dental Practice & Implant Centre, we are accustomed to carrying out procedures from single tooth replacement to full mouth implant reconstructions (for those with little or no teeth, or denture wearers).
More advanced implant procedures, such as sinus floor lifts, bone grafts and ridge expansions are carried out on a regular basis, without the need for a hospital referral.
With his experience and expertise, you can be assured of predictable long term results at a very high standard.
Our Implant co-ordinators are experienced, qualified implant nurses that have the additional qualities to assist with your implant journey. The implant co-ordinators role is to provide you with the guidance and information to help you make an informed choice regarding your implant future.
When you call the Slade Dental Practice and express an interest in implant procedures you will normally be directed to one of our Implant co-ordinators. During the telephone call, you will be able to have an informal chat and discuss your individual dental needs. You can request an implant information pack to be sent out to you free of charge. For some people, implants may not be the only answer to their problems and alternative options can be discussed at this time.
When a consultation appointment is booked the implant coordinator will encourage you, not only to bring a partner/friend along, but to also compile a list of relevant questions that you would like answered during the implant consultation. This will help you to make an informed choice.
Once you have made the decision to proceed with your implant treatment plan, our implant co-ordinators are still there to help you. They can explain the different stages of your implant treatment and the procedure (with as much or as little detail as you would like). They can assist you with filling out the necessary paperwork and are normally part of the team looking after you on the day of your implant fixture procedure.
Your implant co-coordinator will be available to you for any advice, post treatment aftercare or to answer any question (no matter how small) throughout your implant treatment.
We are very proud of our successful implant team and are fully aware of the vital role our nurses play within it. Each member of our implant nursing team has been individually selected to assist in your implant care.
Our implant nursing staff understand that many implant patients are scared of dental treatment and they will take the time required to reassure the most nervous of patients. Each implant nurse is fully qualified and registered with the General dental Council. This group of professionals will help you to feel comfortable and at ease within the sterile surgery environment. They will be able to guide you through the necessary pre-surgical preparations with the minimum of fuss and are responsible in ensuring that the equipment is checked and prepared for surgery use prior to your arrival.
The Implant nurses are specifically trained in achieving the highest standards of “asepsis” (sterile environment). There is meticulous attention to detail involved in preparing a sterile environment prior to your implant fixture and once established, the implant nursing staff ensures that the chain of asepsis is maintained throughout your procedure.
As part of the implant team, if the implant co-ordinators are unavailable, they will be able to guide you along each and every part of your dental implant journey.
